Antonio Esfandiari leads the way, but only just as Duhamel is just 47,000 chips behind.
The players chip stacks are as below. The +/- figure in brackets is their profit/loss since the end of the last level and the big blind figure is how many they have for the current level. Blinds are now 10,000/20,000/3,000a
Antonio Esfandiari – 669,000 (+192,000) 30 big blinds
Jonathan Duhamel – 622,000 (-304,000) 58 big blinds
Sam Trickett – 466,000 (+207,000) 16 big blinds
Scott Seiver – 441,000 (+36,000) 25 big blinds
Phil Hellmuth – 202,000 (+64,000) 9 big blinds
Good level for
Sam Trickett – Trickett managed to get a huge bluff through and his confidence must be brimming at the moment.
Scott Seiver – We were nominating Seiver for the bad level gong after he continued to make expensive second best hands. But right at the end of the lvel, Seiver doubled with against the of Jonathan Duhamel when the board ran out .
Bad level for
Marvin Rettenmaier – The back-to-back World Poker Tour winner busted out in sixth place at the start of the level and only picked up three points. He now has 14 points and could need to pick up at least four more points if he is to finish in the top five of Group A.
Jonathan Duhamel – The former WSOP champion doubled Scott Seiver up at the end of the level to and ended with a 304,000 chip loss. Ouch.
Hand of the level
Sam Trickett ran a huge bluff on Esfandiari by moving all in with on a board which forced Antonio Esfandiari to fold pocket kings. Trickket bet 306,000 into the 326,000 pot and Esfandiari smelled a rat but couldn’t quite pull the trigger.
We will be getting Jesse May’s thoughts on the hand as soon as filming has finished for the day.
